I made Japanese style buns! The first batch was not as fluffy as I would like, so for the second batch I extended the rising time during proofing.
The buns look "burned" on the top... as I did not use egg wash for this second batch. Would definitely be using it next time, as it adds a nicer touch for the bread.
Notice the bun on the upper left corner? It was an experiment. I filled the dough with marmalade before baking it. It came out like this:
The other normal buns came out pretty good and not sweet. I'll try to use the mixer next time, in the hope that my bread will be softer and fluffier ;)
